Work Opportunities Unlimited / Leddy Group, a human services organization & staffing company, is looking for a dedicated and detail focused leader to join our Accounting team in the Dover, NH office as an Assistant Controller.
Successful candidate will assist controller in directing the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team members.
Position responsibilities for Assistant Controller:
Assists with monitoring, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, payroll, forecasting, and insurance; provides and directs procedures to maintain proper controls and reporting
Prepares internal financial reports for the companys 28 separate cost centers.
Assists with corporation's year-end audit and preparation of financial statements
Coordinates tax reporting and ensures timely payment of tax obligations
Monitors and oversees weekly multistate payroll for 900
employees
Reviews and monitors revenue contracts, both governmental and private
Prepares and/or reviews general journal entries, accruals and allocations, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Oversees accounting clients accounts and serves as primary contact for outside back-office accounting clients
Bachelors degree (B. A.) in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or equivalent; and five years related experience in public accounting or private industry accounting. CPA or CMA desirable. Some supervisory experience is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
