Liberty Mutual Commercial Insurance IT is actively searching for a Principal ETL Insurance IT supports the Commercial Insurance business group which is the fourth largest commercial insurer in the US. Commercial Insurance IT leverages strengths to continue to simplify operations and invest in new technologies that provide competitive advantage. In this position, you will be working with a strong, supportive team of professionals and have responsibility for analyzing, designing and implementing data insight and business intelligence capabilities and solutions, primarily utilizing the Informatica ETL product. You will also have the opportunity to help implement our target state architecture and roadmaps leveraging Teradata, Informatica, Cognos and SAS.
Responsibilities:
Design and code effective software applications
Provide technical leadership within team; mentor and train ETL developers
Performs complex data analysis
Analyze and consult on complex business intelligence solutions; contribute technical development alternatives
Investigate new development tools and techniques
Execute quality processes, including performance and data quality validation on new and existing packages, mappings and workflows
Participate in requirements gathering and design for ongoing development projects
Recommend and implement improvements to the ETL Development process
Ability to communicate effectively with business and project managers to represent the project and/or development discipline
Ability to own and manage releases to the production environment
Perform problem assessment, resolution and documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience,
technical degree preferred.
8 years' Informatica PowerCenter experience (experience with preferred)
Proficient in multiple programming languages and tools such as advanced SQL capabilities,
Teradata, UNIX scripting, ESP and Goldengate.
Data warehouse, analytical reporting, or data-integration experience.
Insurance Industry experience is desired.
Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
Negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills.
Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, architectures and technical
standards.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
