Liberty Mutual Insurance Information Technology is actively searching for an experienced Application Portfolio Engineer. In this position you will develop and provide technical support, and consult on technical issues for applications. In addition, you will monitor application environments and resolve customer and technical issues. You may also act as a lead and guide less experienced team members, create and maintain utilization and status reports and documentation, and you may also develop, code, test, debug, and make enhancements to existing software.

Responsibilities:
Provides technical support for applications including health checks, scheduling, infrastructure and vendor support, system remediation and testing for software upgrades/patches, problem management, change management and compliance.
Monitors test and production application environments for health, responds to problem tickets, ensures triage of problems to root cause, and adherence to SLA.
Participates in the on-call support rotation.
Participates in planning and testing for disaster recovery of critical applications.
Analyzes and documents trends on application, content, and database server utilization.
Maintains and enhances application documentation.
May enhance existing software from general requirements and specifications.
Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience. Generally 5 years of professional experience.
Knowledge in the following areas: IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, architectures and technical standards, design and development tools, layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs.
Understanding of shared software concepts and business applications.
Knowledge of business functions and business operations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
