Liberty Mutual Commercial Insurance IT is actively searchingfor a Senior Systems Analyst within the Group Benefits organization. CommercialInsurance IT supports the Commercial Insurance business group which is the fourth largest commercial insurer in the US. Commercial Insurance IT leverages strengths to continue to simplify operations and invest in new technologies that provide competitive advantage. In this position, you willact as a project architect and contribute to architectural decisions. You will also transform client requests into detailed system specifications and model system solutions for a project according to architecture, technology and standards. In addition, you will develop systems testing strategies, plans, cases, and conditions, test and monitors testing efforts.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates upgrades and rollouts of moderate scope including implementation, training and monitoring performance.
Communicates project objectives, scope and direction to project team; may assign and monitor tasks.
Analyzes complex technical and/or Level 2 system problems; designs and implements effective solutions.
Elicit and document business requests into detailed business requirements.
Participates in the evaluation of complex business requirements; participates in modeling data and/or system requirements.
Creates system, technical and product standards and procedures.
May lead projects or subprojects.
Facilitates project inspections and communicates the inspection results
May modify/maintain complex desktop client products using standard life cycle development practices coding/packaging, testing, debugging, certification, and implementation) and managed desktop utilities in support of W2K, XP and Linux
May provide Operational L3 support/workaround development for complex desktop client hw/sw products in support of W2K, XP, and Linux
May provide Consulting services/collaboration, testing, and debugging for Engineering 1st build of desktop client hw/sw products in support of W2K, XP, and Linux
Mentors and trains less experienced analysts in project related deliverables and processes
Depicts complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences
Consults on complex technical issues.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
Generally 5 years of professional experience.
Experience with Group, Short-term and Long-term Disability and a concentration in Leave benefits is strongly preferred.
Oracle Documaker experience preferred.
Experience business requirements.
General knowledge of architectures and technical standards.
Requires extensive knowledge in the following areas: IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, design and development tools, extensive knowledge of a business function (s) and business operations.
Requires strong facilitation, consensus building skills, presentation and communication skills.
