Liberty Mutual Personal Insurance IT has an immediate need for a Sr. System Administrator in our EDW Production Support Group. If you have a solid technical background and excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, we will like to speak with you about joining us as a Sr.System Administrator for multiple technologies. This is an outstanding opportunity to assist in fueling the growth of our Liberty Mutual Personal Insurance organization by administering technologies that power Business Intelligence and our Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Responsibilities:
Provide systems administration, operational support and problem resolution for large systems covering multiple technologies.
Provide technical leadership for the multiple environments including:
o Maintain ongoing knowledge of software and hardware environments (including future releases)
o Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, take appropriate corrective action, interact with IT staff and vendors in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functions. Communicate and document findings.
o Support production and non-production environments
o Develop performance,SLA, and service quality reporting
o Perform software installation and upgrades.
o Monitor system performance and capacity; report changes in usage.
o Forecast system demand, recommend upgrades, expansion and reconfiguration
o Participate in hardware/software installation, maintenance and support and documentation of hardware/software logs and operating procedures.
o Manage security administration and deployments
o Document standards and operating procedures for a large system and act as a technical resource to IT staff and systems users.
o Lead upgrade projects
Analyze complex technical problems and design and implement effective solutions.
Proactively provide technical and process-oriented suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Participate on 24X7 on-call Production Support rotation (augmented by offshore support)
Qualifications:
Expert Unix skills required
Strong SQL skillshighly desirable
5 years of experience as a System Administrator required
8 years of overall IS experience required
Experience in large volume data warehouse environment preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area of study
Solid time management and project management skills, and detail-oriented
Must work well independently and in a collaborative team environment.
