Job Summary
Oversees the planning and implementation of IT projects. Projects pertain to the delivery of timely, quality IT services and/or related to improving business effectiveness or efficiency. Reviews, evaluates and formulates project plans, schedules and budgets. Responsible for leading, planning, managing and directing a project team to accomplish the objectives of a project. Coordinates schedules and assigns project tasks. Receives general supervision from the IT Project Manager or IT Management. Maintains working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT.
Job Responsibilities
With client management, defines the objectives to be accomplished by the project team.
Directs systems analysts, software designers and programmers to determine the best methods to achieve the projects objectives.
Allocates staff and budget resources required to achieve project objectives.
Organizes and guides project operations through the use of systems development and project management methodologies accepted by the industry.
Evaluates and reports progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects.
Works with client departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and support.
Uses appropriate systems development methodologies to structure and organize the tasks to be completed by the team. Develops the project plan in conjunction with the team.
Monitors and reports project status using established metrics against the plan.
Reviews the team''s work products.
May provide coaching and mentoring to project team members.
Keeps informed of advances in technology and Project Management.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Product is delivered on time and meets both internal and customer specifications.
Ensures team delivers accurate and complete project documentation as defined by Liberty Mutual standards.
Ensures team adheres to Liberty''s standard technology and processes.

Project provides participants with an increased technical knowledge and skill set
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 5 or more years related experience as a project team member of which at least 2 years have been in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Able to manage projects from inception to successful implementation.
Able to foster working relationships with the team and client departments.
Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies, and objectives.
Thorough knowledge of project management life cycle, methodologies, and support tools (e.g. MS Project, MS Office etc).
Thorough knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and techniques (Project Management certification preferred).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
